1880's Bustled Style Reception Gown
The fully lined and lightly boned bodice has a keyhole style neckline with a high collar that is overlaid in a narrow black embroidered net lace. A great Victorian bar brooch would look fantastic at the neckline of this dress.
The sleeves come to below the elbow and have four alternating layers of wide black Venice lace and pleating finished with an edging of the narrower lace (the under layer of black lace cannot be seen in the photos but will show each time you move your arm).
The front waist of this bodice was inspired by an 1881 style jacket and the back has a gathered detail that lays over the bustled skirt.
The skirt closes at the back with hooks and eyes, the jacket buttons up the centre front with black faceted buttons.

Made in 100% silk with a synthetic lining, the content of the lace and trims is unknown. Professional cleaning recommended.

It was photographed over my large bustle pad which is available separately. Accessories not included.

The fully lined skirt has two layers of pleating with a layer of the wide black lace in between. This is finished with the narrow lace trim.
